Lenovo recently introduced its 2019 lineup of PCs catering to the needs of every user.

Gaming laptops and peripherals

Starting off with the Legion, the company's gaming line, Lenovo unveiled the Legion Y740 powered by NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2060 GPU and Intel's 9th Generation Core i7-9750H CPU. Wrapped in an all-aluminum chassis with a thin bezel, the Y740 breaks the convention of what gaming laptops look like with its sleek design. It is available for PhP 119,995.

Another gaming laptop, the IdeaPad L340 suits best for those who are on the lookout for their first gaming PC. Available with either an Intel Core i7 with 128GB SSD (PhP 59,995) or an Intel Core i5 (PhP 49,995), the IdeaPad L340 is one of the most affordable gaming laptops out in the market equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. Gamers have more options with variants of the Legion Y540 are in the lineup, one them equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with 6GB VRAM, 1TB SSD storage, 16GB RAM, and an Intel Core i7-9750H processor.

Stepping up the gaming experience, Lenovo also rolled out its array of peripherals, among of which is the mammoth-sized Legion Y44w gaming monitor that comes with a 43.4-inch curved (1800R) display with a 144Hz refresh rate. All devices come with Lenovo’s two-year Premium Care Support, 24/7 support from Lenovo’s senior tech resources, Zero Tolerance to Dead Pixel service that repairs the display even with only a single dead pixel, and a two-year onsite warranty wherein Lenovo’s staff will go directly to the customer’s location for any troubleshooting needs. These were designed to offer a complete gaming experience.

Yoga mobile PCs

Measuring a sleek 12.2mm and weighing only 1.2kg, the Yoga S940 is the world’s first laptop to have Contour Glass which wraps around the display for smoother edges that minimize the appearance of its already thin bezel. This device is available in the market for PhP 115,995. Another model in the Yoga lineup, the Yoga S730 is a device designed to be an ideal travel companion with its weight of 1.1kg, thinness of 11.9mm, and its cooling system that pulls air through secondary vents hidden in the keyboard. Lenovo Yoga models come with a set of aftersales support similar to that of the Legion series.

Upcoming offerings

Lenovo's upcoming IdeaPad line will be led by the IdeaPad S540, available in six variants. The most premium version comes with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU and an Intel Core i7-8565U processor (PhP 69,995). Multiple variants of the ultraslim IdeaPad S340, the 2-in-1 convertible laptop IdeaPad C340, and the powerful everyday laptop IdeaPad S145 are also arriving, with higher variants coming with a Microsoft Office Perpetual bundle worth PhP 5,995.

Lenovo's stellar performance during the fiscal year 2018-2019 saw them claiming the top spot in the worldwide PC shipments, as a result of significant growth mainly brought by the sales in its consumer division. The company reached an all-time high of USD 51 billion, up 12.5% YOY, with the company net income reaching USD 597 million. This was made possible by a strong fourth-quarter performance that led them to double-digit growth with revenue coming from its PC and smart devices amounting to USD 38.5 billion, making Lenovo the #1 PC company in the world with a record market share of 23.4% for the fiscal year while also becoming the fastest-growing among the top five players (+9.5% YOY).
