Filipino music enthusiasts are set to gather once again at this year's Fête de la Musique in Manila, organized by Alliance Francaise de Manille (AFM) in partnership with B-Side Productions. The 24th edition of Fête de la Musique follows last year's monumental success which produced more than 30 stages and welcomed over 30,000 music lovers. This year's celebration is happening starting today (June 23), with upcoming events on 29 and 30, 2018.
“The annual Fête de la Musique has garnered a huge following through the years. As it gets bigger, we would like to give music fans in the Philippines the best festival experience in every way possible,” says Jean-Pierre Dumont executive director of Alliance Française de Manille.
This year, the festival is extending its scope, traversing the digital space through the Fête PH mobile app to help interested music fans by providing them with all relevant information about the free-for-all event. Available for download on Apple's App Store and Google Play, the app developed by Bizooku includes details such as the schedule of performances on the main stages and pocket stages, list of performers, maps, addresses, and contact numbers of the venues for this year's celebration.
“With the help of the mobile app, we are one step closer to that goal by keeping up with the times when everything is searchable online," Dumont added.

Fête de la Musique began in France in the 1980s, followed by further support from French cultural centers across the globe. The festival eventually became an annual celebration, expanding to over 800 cities and 120 countries with thousands of events worldwide.
In the Philippines, Fête dela Musique has a unique setup because it features concerts that are taking place in different venues with different genres simultaneously. The festival in its entirety covers a wide variety of genres, from classical to electronic, to tap and bring people together.
The 24th Fête de la Musique is co-presented by San Miguel Beer with the support of Tourism Promotions Board Philippines and the Department of Tourism.
