Inspiring more people to "Get Outside" and discover the wonders of the outdoors, Recreational Outdoor eXchange (R.O.X) recently staged the much-anticipated two-day R.O.X. Outdoor Festival 2018. Riding on the theme "Play Outside", the event was successfully held in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig, graced by countless outdoor enthusiasts.
Amplifying the excitement brought about by the event, visitors were treated to fun activities sponsored by R.O.X.'s active brands and partners. Fox Racing had a mini MX competition for customers who purchased at least PhP 2,000 worth of Fox items from May 18 to 20. Strider Racing featured wholesome sessions such as the Strider Adventure Zone, Bike Clinic, Balance Bike Lessons, Family Races, and raffle draws. Salomon Sprint Challenge made solo and duo runners try out Salomon shoes and vie for the fastest sprint, wherein winners took home Salomon Run the City Apparel and other products.
Columbia challenged attendees with its The Last Man Standing. A game of physical and mental endurance, participants stood on a 3-foot wooden pillar and attempted to keep standing the longest time possible. Additional challenges were introduced and rewards were offered from time to time in exchange of quitting the game. Anytime Fitness Coaches encouraged everyone to join the TNF No Days Off, an intense workout program which kicked off with a 300m jog from Zone 1 and capped with a workout proper at Zone 3.
Apart from these, other festival highlights included the R.O.X. Zero Gravity Bouldering Competition in partnership with The North Face, Outdoor Guide Sessions, Outdoor Movie, and an Outdoor Festival Sale. The event also exhibited the winning entries of the R.O.X. Play Outside photo contest, an online contest which encouraged outdoor lovers to share the many ways how they play outside. Out of the 20 participants, three winners received gift certificates.
