Hot on the heels of the successful 2019 Taiwan Medical Technology Seminar held at the Manila Hotel in Manila, Philippines, last September 10, 2019, Taiwan is all set to bring its good news of modern healthcare to Mindanao.

Organized by the Taiwan Trade Center Manila (TAITRA), the 2019 Taiwan Healthcare Seminar is coming to Davao City on November 8, 2019, at Meeting Room 5, SMX Davao.

This event will bring together some of the top biotech innovators from the best and most advanced hospitals in Taiwan to share their latest innovations to healthcare practitioners and professionals from around the Davao and the rest of the Mindanao region.

The seminar will highlight the latest medical services and smart healthcare systems that Taiwan has to offer to answer the increasing need for high quality human-centric medical care in developing societies like the Philippines.

Among the participating institutions are the Chang Chung Memorial Hospital in Keelung, Taiwan, Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, Lite-Med Inc., Biomaterials & Surface Engineering Industry-Academia Consortium, Taipei Tech University, Bionime Corporation, and Chung Hua Institute for Economic Research.

Speakers from said institutions will be providing insights on the latest treatments and procedures available in Taiwan hospitals, new developments on minimally invasive surgery biomaterials, advanced management for debilitating illnesses like diabetes, and modern overall patient care.

The seminar, which will promptly start at 2:00 p.m. will be followed by one-on-one sessions where guests can chat with institution experts and representatives in their respective booths.

Learn about Chang Chung Memorial Hospital’s Pronto and Radiation, Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Sleep Centers.

Discover how the Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital treats skin conditions like dyschromia, as well as how spinal diseases are treated with surgery and modern arthroscopic cartilage regeneration-facilitating procedure.

Get introductions on modern products such as Lite-Med Inc.’s localized ultrasounds that can track and lock kidney stones, as well as an Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy machine that can be used for a variety of orthopedic treatments and rehabilitation.

Other healthcare solutions to be featured include:

- Bionime Corporation’s glucose monitoring systems

- Academia Consortium’s biomaterials and surface engineering developments

The Chung Hua Institute for Economic Research will also be presenting Taiwan’s Medical and Health New Southbound Policy, which may be able to contribute to Philippine medical industries, particularly in Davao and Mindanao.

Through strategic partnerships between hospitals in Taiwan and the Philippines, Filipino patients can gain access to Taiwan’s advanced medical treatments at a more affordable cost than going to the United States or Europe.
