Globe partners with DOST to improve COVID-19 reporting and tracing via TanodCOVID

As the country battles the COVID-19 pandemic, Globe continues to do its part in keeping families connected during these challenging times, while assisting organizations and government agencies in flattening the curve. Through its innovative developer group Globe Labs, the telco giant is once again taking new steps by partnering with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) for the implementation of a new online platform called TanodCOVID. An SMS-based self-reporting platform, TanodCOVID aims to improve the country’s capacity to trace suspected COVID-19 cases. Red Cross 143 contact tracing app gets data-free usage for Smart subs

The Philippine Red Cross has launched a new mobile application called RC143 which is designed to help health authorities in contact tracing of COVID-19 cases.  To provide assistance, Smart is enabling its subscribers to download and use the mobile app free of data charges. The RC143 is an application that will enable contact tracing using the geo-location and sensory capabilities of smartphones.  The app will also enable its users to get information on their likely levels of exposure to the virus. With the user's consent, the PRC app will track his movements using the location facility of his mobile phone. This information will go to a data base through which the PRC will be able to determine which individuals have come into contact with COVID-positive cases. Amid pandemic, schools find 'smart' ways to continue learning

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted everyone’s regular routines, including school classes from kinder to college. SAMSUNG 321 app’s newest update now includes COVID-19 Hotline numbers to aid users for any concerns and emergencies related to the global pandemic. A dedicated COVID-19 emergency button now displays the DOH and Red Cross' COVID-19 hotlines. Contacts for DOH, PNP and the Philippine Red Cross have been updated as well. Samsung to Introduce ‘Eco-Packaging’ for Its Lifestyle TV Lineup

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. recently announced that it will introduce a new eco-friendly packaging across its Lifestyle TV product portfolio in efforts to reduce the environmental footprint. Samsung’s new ‘eco-packaging’ made from eco-friendly corrugated cardboard will be applied to The Serif, The Frame and The Sero, allowing customers easier recycling as well as upcycling of the cardboard boxes for creative reuse.
