Zotac is continuing its efforts to expand its range of PC products and the company took Computex 2018 as a perfect opportunity to showcase them. At the week-long exhibition, Zotac put on display small form factor PCs and graphics cards, products that make the brand easily associated with gaming. Speaking of gaming, Zotac further expressed its commitment to gaming by gathering some of the best gamers in the region with the staging of this year's Zotac Masters Cup tournament.
Different variations of MEK gaming PCs were present at Zotac's booth. Starting off with the MEK Ultra Gaming System, this machine sports a quite intimidating chassis, housing a powerful set of specifications consisting of a Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme graphics card, Intel Core i9-7900X processor, 32GB RAM (2x 16GB DDR4-2666MHz), 512GB NVMe solid state drive (SSD) for main storage, 4TB hard disk drive (HDD) with 32GB Optane Memory for second storage, and a 1000W power supply unit (PSU).
Positioned as an eSports gaming, the MEK Mini Gaming System is made more portable so that you can carry it to tournaments. This PC system comes with a Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, Intel Core i7-8700T CPU, 16GB RAM (2x 8GB DDR4-2666MHz), and a storage combination consisting of a 2TB HDD boosted by a 32GB Intel Optane Memory.
After making its debut last year, the Zotac MEK1 Gaming PC (white) returned at Computex 2018. Like its predecessor, this PC still borrows an inspiration from Tron in terms of design, complete with light-emitting lines and a power button that partly reminds us of the Identity Disc. In spite of its slim outline, the MEK1 is big in terms of internal hardware, carrying a Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, Intel Core i5-7400 processor, 16GB RAM (2x 8GB-2400MHz), and 240GB/1TB SSD/HDD combination.
Apart from the white variant, the MEK1 Gaming PC also comes with a black version which Zotac has designated as the official gaming system for the Zotac Cup Masters 2018 CS:GO tournament. This beast is a powerhouse comprising of a Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, Intel Core i7-7700 processor, 16GB RAM (2x 8GB DDR4), and 240GB/1TB SSD/HDD combination.
Speaking of Zotac Cup Masters 2018 CS:GO tournament, the Asian regional finals of the competition features finalists namely EMC, SCARZ Absolute, MVP PK, EXECUTIONERS, Alpha Red, and Sad Story. Te best eight CS:GO teams will battle for the lion's share of USD 20,000 prize pool and a coveted spot at the Grand Finals in Hong Kong E-Sports and Music Festival happening on August 24 to 26.
