Samsung ushers in the Era of Live with Galaxy A80 and A70

Samsung is seeing a big, bright picture of the future driven by today’s digital natives and tech-savvy content creators. By 2021, the Korean company is seeing a tremendous growth in mobile traffic by 78%, brought about by video content. However, this figure will be overshadowed by the rapid traffic growth of live video, pegged at 870 percent.

Preparing today’s generation for the new Era of Live, Samsung showcased the new Galaxy A Series of smartphones, topbilled by the Galaxy A80 and the Galaxy A70, during an appropriately-titled affair named “A Galaxy Event” held in Bangkok, Thailand. Amplifying the excitement of the launch, globally-renowned South Korean girl group BlackPink graced the occasion as Samsung’s official endorser for the Galaxy A Series.

The Galaxy A Series addresses the needs and wants of innovative content creators who are always on the move, encapsulating features such as a high-quality camera, undisrupted display, long battery life, convenient security, and the Samsung One UI experience in an array of smartphones clad in stylish shells. The Galaxy A Series is also available in other models, namely the A10, A20, A30, A40, and the A50.

Created with Samsung’s first rotating camera, the Galaxy A80 lets people seamlessly capture the world around them. The innovative camera mechanism rotates when users switch between the main camera and selfie mode to deliver the same extraordinary triple camera experience.

Enabled by the rotating camera, the Galaxy A80 delivers an uninhibited view with Samsung’s first New Infinity Display. Featuring the 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, the Galaxy A80 brings you content in vivid detail, letting you get fully immersed in every game, video, photo, and story.

The Galaxy A80 comes with an adaptive and dynamic camera system that allows for an intuitive experience with the same high-resolution lens, front and rear, so you never have to sacrifice on quality. With the 48-megapixel main camera, users can now shoot vivid images day and night. The Galaxy A80’s 3D Depth camera offers Live Focus to not only photos but also videos by scanning objects for measurement and depth. It is built with an Ultra Wide angle lens with the same viewing angle as the human eye, so your favorite views can be shared with less panning.

The Super Steady video mode helps you effortlessly capture content by reducing video shake to ensure smooth, pro-level action videos.

The Galaxy A80 is packed with 3700mAh battery with Super-Fast Charging feature at 25W. The battery is made intelligent so it can learn your daily routine and app usage patterns to optimize phone’s power consumption. The Galaxy A80 is available in two colors: Angel Gold and Phantom Black. The Gold color includes elements of pink so these colors look different depending on light direction and reflection.

Samsung Galaxy A70

Featuring a 6.7-inch Infinity-U display along with the biggest screen in the Galaxy A portfolio to date, the Galaxy A70 provides an edge-to-edge experience with a 20:9 display ratio, delivering an immersive viewing experience while providing optimal grip.

These connections can only thrive when the most essential features allow people to enhance interactions through spontaneous, collaborative, and genuine connection. This requires an evolution. On the imaging front, the Galaxy A70 comes with a triple camera system, consisting of 32-megapixel super high-resolution front and rear lens; a Depth lens that enables you to adjust the depth of field to focus before and after taking a shot so you can choose what and where you want to highlight; and an 8-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens for expansive photos. A couple of features available on the A80, the Galaxy A70 has Scene Optimizer which can recognize and intuitively enhance up to 20 scenes (30 in the case of the A80), and Flaw Detection which automatically identifies glitches before you click for a perfect shot.

In addition, the Galaxy A70 comes with a 4500mAh battery, coupled with Super-Fast Charging feature at 25W. Available in three distinctive colors (blue, black, white), the Galaxy A70 features a stylish prism effect that reveals stunning gradient colors depending on light direction and reflections. Adding excitement to the Galaxy A70, Samsung has also presented a BlackPink-themed Samsung Galaxy Friends accessory platform for the new smartphone.
