Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Raises the Bar for Foldable Productivity

The Fold8 Ultra also introduces a new dual-path 45W fast-charging architecture that distributes power more efficiently for quicker and more stable charging. To sustain performance during intensive tasks, the device incorporates an expanded graphite cooling structure designed to dissipate heat more effectively.

Photography also receives a significant upgrade. Leading the camera system is a 200-megapixel main sensor capable of capturing richly detailed images while supporting High Dynamic Range (HDR) shooting in full 200MP mode. Samsung has likewise strengthened the software's intelligence with Now Brief and Now Nudge, features that proactively surface relevant information and suggested actions based on conversations, schedules, and routines. Despite integrating more powerful hardware and larger displays, Samsung continues to emphasize durability. The Fold8 Ultra features the company's new Flex Titanium display structure, which combines a titanium-alloy film with an enhanced titanium plate to reinforce the display while minimizing crease visibility over time. The engineering also contributes to a smoother and more natural unfolding experience.

The display itself reaches up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness and incorporates Vision Booster technology along with a low-reflection finish, making content easier to view even under bright outdoor conditions.

Security remains a central focus as AI becomes increasingly integrated into everyday mobile experiences. Samsung protects personal information through Samsung Knox, the Personal Data Engine, Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), and Knox Vault, while One UI 9 introduces an AI Assistant Activity dashboard that lets users monitor how AI features interact with their data. Enhanced privacy alerts further provide proactive notifications whenever applications request potentially unnecessary background permissions.
