Promoting the admirable talent of Filipinos in the field of the arts, Robinsons Land Corporation joined forces with the Art Association of the Philippines (AAP) in launching the first-ever Robinsons Land National Art Competition 2018, hosted by Summit Hotels and Resorts.
The art competition, titled Kulayan ang Ganda ng Pilipinas, aims to increase awareness and appreciation for the dynamic Filipino art landscape, while highlighting the natural beauty of the country as interpreted by an artist. Launched at the Momento Function Room of Summit Hotel Magnolia last May 12, the submission of entries is set on June 16, 2018.
Collaborating with AAP, the competition was designed to encourage members of the organization, comprised of both budding and veteran in the art scene.
Participants are required to create an original piece that falls under either of the two categories: representational and non-representational. The entries for the representational category must revolve around the theme Kulayan ang Ganda ng Pilipinas, while entries for the other category may follow any time. Art media are limited to acrylic, oil, and watercolor.
The awarding ceremony is set to happen at Crowne Plaza Manila on June 19, 2018. Winning entries will be exhbited in all Summit Hotels and Resorts properties across the country.
