Volvo's fastest 20-ton excavator arrives in PH

Volvo's fastest 20-ton class excavator on the market, the Volvo EC200D recently debuted in the Philippines. Promising to deliver world-class performance, safety, energy efficiency, and service availability, the EC200D is designed to offer significant productivity improvements for various types of construction work like road construction, building, landscaping, and utility work.

Powered by a Volvo D5E Tier 3 engine with 123kW output at 2000rpm coupled with strong hydraulics, the EC200D is designed to operate fast and with short cycle times. Boasting high swing torque and unique lifting capabilities, the EC200D's excavator cycle time includes digging, lifting, rotation, and unloading. Speeding up the cycle time increases the productivity of the EC200D.

"The combination of a powerful engine, strong hydraulics in an exceptionally well-balanced machine makes the EC200D capable of lifting heavier weight at a higher swing speed. All this translates into higher productivity," says AM Muralidharan, VP Sales Support and Dealer Development in Volvo CE, Sales Region APAC.

Moreover, operators will find the EC200D easy to maneuver, thanks to its ergonomic design that ensures superior stability, resulting in smooth and efficient operation. The EC200D is configured with a 5.7m boom, 2.9m arm, and a 0.8m3 bucket. The maximum breakout force is rated at 116kN.
