SM Prime Holdings, one of the leading integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, has officially opened SM City Grand Central.

Launched Friday, the latest development adds more than 116,000sqm of gross floor area in the company’s mall portfolio providing six levels of retail spaces meant for a whole new level of shopping, dining, entertainment and recreational experiences in Caloocan and nearby cities.

“As the economy starts to re-open given the improving COVID-19 condition in major key areas in the Philippines, primarily here in Metro Manila, we are pleased to welcome customers to our newest mall, SM City Grand Central. The same standard of health and safety protocols will be implemented for a safe and comfortable shopping and dining experience when you visit an SM mall,” SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim said.

SM City Grand Central houses popular local and international retail and dining shops accentuated by stunning mall features that are made for Filipino families to enjoy. It is set to reignite the malling experience in the area just like how it used to be in the early ‘90s.

SM City Grand Central opens with more than 70 percent of space lease awarded, and will have The SM Store, SM Supermarket, Watsons, Miniso, Uniqlo, Crocs, Levi’s, Surplus Shop, ACE Hardware, Pet Express, Sports Central, Our Home, SM Appliance, The Body Shop, National Bookstore, China Bank and BDO.

SM City Grand Central is located at the heart of the commercial district of Caloocan with connections to various transportation terminals going in and out of the metro including LRT 1 via Monumento station.

It also houses more than 700 parking slots, four digital cinemas, two Director’s Club cinemas, two regular cinemas, a food court, SM Cyberzone, a Department of Foreign Affairs satellite office, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary and The Skylight Park indoor garden.

With Filipino families in mind, The Skylight Park in SM City Grand Central is a first of its kind indoor park set to offer a breather from the bustling city scene, while enjoying al fresco dining in style and self-care activities in its Health and Wellness Zone.

“As when this pandemic started, SM will continue to support the government’s COVID-19 response program so that we can all look forward to a better and brighter year ahead,” Mr. Lim added.
