The long wait is over. Mactan-Cebu International Airport's Terminal 2 has just opened its doors to the public. Since its announcement until its inauguration, the opening of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport has been surrounded by tremendous excitement.
Whether you're a departing or an arriving passenger, what makes a stay at the new airport more exciting for everyone is the presence of new LG OLED televisions. Twenty-four units of ultraslim 55-inch LG C8 OLED TVs are strategically installed at the apron areas, as well as departure check-in and departure gates, so waiting or staying inside the airport feels like home. This is the first time OLED TVs will be displayed in a Philippine airport.
The 65,500sqm Mactan-Cebu International Airport is the country's first airport resort, featuring wooden arches fortified by steel ramparts and a wave-like roof that exudes a tropical feel. Interior designer Budji Layug and world-famous Cebuano furniture maker Kenneth Cobonpue helped in conceptualizing the terminal.
“It’s an honor to see our displays up and running at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Terminal 2. We are excited about the opportunity to introduce travelers from across the region to the beauty of the LG OLED TV,” says Mr. Inkwun Heo, Managing Director of LGPhilippines. “These OLED displays perfectly complement the stunning features of the new addition to Cebu’s international airport," he added.
