Beyond Expands into the Philippines with Google Cloud, AI Expertise

Beyond, a UK-headquartered global technology company and Google Cloud Premier Partner, has officially launched its operations in the Philippines, marking another step in its international expansion while bringing its expertise in Google Cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and cloud engineering to the local market.

The company formally entered the country during a launch event held on July 8 at Blackbird at the Nielson Tower in Makati City. The gathering brought together leaders from the technology, business, government, diplomatic, and academic sectors from both the United Kingdom and the Philippines.

Beyond specializes in designing and building cloud infrastructure, AI-driven applications, cybersecurity solutions, customer experience platforms, and digital commerce systems using Google Cloud technologies. Its enterprise customers include HSBC, PayPal, PUMA, Snap, and Deutsche Bank.

Unlike many technology firms that offer services across multiple cloud platforms, Beyond focuses exclusively on Google Cloud. The company said this dedicated approach enables it to develop deeper engineering expertise and deliver more specialized solutions for organizations pursuing digital transformation.

The engineering-first strategy is reflected in its workforce, with more than 75 percent of employees serving as hands-on technical specialists.

The Philippine expansion is part of Beyond's broader global growth strategy, which includes establishing new operations in Romania and Argentina as it strengthens its presence across Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Beyond said it sees the Philippines as a strategic hub for its regional operations and plans to invest in Filipino engineering talent to support customers adopting Google Cloud technologies. The company aims to build local teams capable of delivering AI, cloud modernization, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation projects for organizations across the region.

The launch was led by Beyond Chief Executive Officer Alan Paton, Chief Delivery Officer Divya Sampath, Chief Innovation Officer Margareta Klinčić, Board Advisor Tim Jones, Technology and Customer Transformation Executive Geoff Newell, Senior Cloud and Digital Transformation Executive Lasse Wöien, Engineering Leader James Gornall, and Marketing and Communications Leader Lottie Cable.

Among those in attendance were representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Budget and Management, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, Board of Investments, Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of the President, Ayala Land, Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation Inc. (SEIPI), Huawei Philippines, QBO Innovation Hub, the British Council, and the Nordic Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in Manchester as CTS, the company has evolved through a series of mergers and acquisitions, including Appsbroker, TIQQE, tmc3, and Beyond LLC, before adopting the Beyond brand. Today, the company positions itself as a dedicated Google Cloud engineering firm focused on helping organizations harness AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity technologies.

As it grows its presence in the Philippines, Beyond said it will continue expanding its engineering capabilities and investing in technical talent to support enterprises navigating increasingly complex digital transformation initiatives.
