UnionBank, through EON, recently joined forces with Grab Philippines, to provide Grab Peers with EON Grab cards. Through the partnership, Grab Peers will get their incentives on their EON Grab cards, withdraw from any ATM here and abroad, and pay for purchases at VISA-accepting stores.
"EON continues to be co-created by the e-gig community which includes online freelancers, online sellers, and now, the Grab Peers. It's a privilege to partner with Grab to showcase the world-class capabilities of EON's neo banking platform," said Paolo Baltao, Senior Vice President, EON Banking Group Head.
With the help of the EON app, Grab Peers will get to enjoy the convenience of sending money, paying bills, and buying load and prepaid credits for AutoSweep and EasyTrip RFID through their smartphones and other compatible mobile devices.
The use of UnionBank's EON card also ensures that Grab Peers' money is safe. With the capability to lock his EON card by using the app, a Grab Peer can make sure that his account is protected even if a thief attempts to withdraw using a fake card. Moreover, he will be alerted via text and email that a transaction attempt was made while the card is locked.
What's more, a Grab Peer can set his withdrawal limit anytime, anywhere through the EON app. He can lower his daily ATM withdrawal limit to PhP 2,000 on regular days, or increase to all the way to PhP 50,000 for unexpected expenses.
