Aligned with its mission to help medical professionals with their tax woes so they can passionately focus on providing high-quality healthcare to Filipinos, Taxumo has forged a crucial partnership with AIDE, the country’s most trusted healthcare and telemedicine platform.
Through the partnership, thousands of AIDE’s healthcare providers will be able to enjoy the ease and convenience of computing, filing, and paying their taxes through Taxumo, at substantially lower subscription rates of up to almost 60 percent.
AIDE’s medical professionals can also enjoy the ease of registering their businesses at reduced rates through Taxumo’s BizReg service, which covers processing their BIR Certificate of Registration, processing their Authority to Print, helping them get their initial 10 Booklets of Official Receipt/Invoice, as well as securing Stamped Books of Accounts.
Beyond these perks, Taxumo will also conduct exclusive webinars for doctors to help them understand the ins and outs of taxes, business registration, and maximizing Taxumo’s features for their businesses.
Says EJ Arboleda, Taxumo CEO: “Taxumo's partnership with AIDE is proof of our strong commitment to help Filipino doctors, so that they can continue delivering the best quality of care to every Filipino, especially during these trying times. Taxumo believes that taxes should not be a burden for professionals. Without the stress of taxes, our medical frontliners can focus on helping Filipinos through this pandemic.”
Paolo Bugayong, CEO of AIDE, adds: “AIDE allows our partner physicians and health workers to care for almost 300,000 Filipino patients already on our platform. These health professionals provide crucial support such as doctor visits, nursing care, e-consultations, as well as COVID testing. AIDE’s partnership with Taxumo makes it easier for over 4,000 healthcare professionals signed up on AIDE to dedicate a huge fraction of their time and effort to their work, and not on the nitty-gritty of registering their businesses and manually computing, filing, and paying their taxes.”
With the risks medical professionals face because of COVID-19, the government has likewise offered tax incentives such as tax exemption from the hazard duty pay of temporarily hired health workers. Meanwhile, health workers from both the private and public sector are entitled to a COVID-19 special risk allowance. These are implemented under the Republic Act No. 11494, or the “Bayanihan to Recover As One” law.
