Teachers, parents join Globe and DepEd in kids’ cyber safety talk

The shift to online learning for the school year 2020-2021 imposes a lot of challenges to teachers, parents, and students alike. Among these challenges, ensuring children’s online safety is the most critical. As a matter of fact, the Philippines ranks highly when it comes to online risks for children. Manila Government, Globe Business assist public schools with data plans for online learning

The city government of Manila will be providing public school students with free access to online learning platforms under Globe’s BatangMaynilaSurf Plans. The telco giant also gave 11,000 LTE pocket mobile WiFi devices to the city for its public school teachers, as they prepare for the blended learning programs to be set by the Department of Education (DepEd). Globe calls on Pinoys to consume only legal content online

The internet has become the main source of any copyright infringement content, impacting people and businesses involved in the production and distribution of legitimate materials and exposing consumers to malware and other cybersecurity threats.
