Globe lets more Pinoys enjoy the promise of 5G

Globe’s relentless modernization of its network has made it possible for its 5G technology to be available to more customers in more areas in the country. Recent upgrades made in the last two months of 2020 have made the latest technology available in at least 848 sites in Metro Manila and Rizal and 183 locations in Visayas and Mindanao. Several parts of Cavite, Laguna and Bulacan are also 5G-enabled. Overall, 5G is now available in 1,045 areas in the country. “We are rolling out more 5G areas this year to make this new technology more inclusive. It’s the customer who usually calls when assistance is needed, but Globe is transforming the way it serves its customers by being the one to call when they have concerns that would need help from a customer service agent. Globe has accelerated its shift to digital platforms to continue to support the needs of customers in the new normal. As mental health issues rise due to isolation, fear, and worries that accompany the current pandemic, it becomes necessary to make it easier for the public to access mental health support services whenever and wherever they need them.
