Globe At Home Powers Digital Learning for Public Schools with WiFi2TEACH Program
With the recent opening of classes for public schools, the shift to distance learning poses a challenge for both teachers and students. Aside from navigating this new way of learning, they also have to think about where to get devices such as laptops and tablets they can use for classes, and of course, access to a reliable home internet connection. Under its WiFi2TEACH program in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd), Globe At Home has begun carrying out its pledge to support public schools, by donating 2,000 modems to selected teachers who need strong connection to fulfill their duty of teaching students remotely. From September 1-30, for every Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi unit sold on Lazada , P100 was donated to help provide the modems for this program. The distribution of modems started in August right in time for the new school year.
