Globe encourages parents and kids to be responsible digital citizens

With community quarantine guidelines in place, families are expected to use the internet more as they stay safe at home. This puts them at greater risk for bullying, threats, and crimes. To help minimize the risk and promote responsible digital citizenship, Globe held the first Kids & Tech: Parenting in the Digital Age, an exclusive webinar that teaches families to become savvy consumers of social media and technology. PLDT, Smart power Team Pilipinas in FIBA NBA 2K journey

Members of the NBA 2K Team Pilipinas were recently given recognition by top executives from PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) in celebration of their topnotch performance at the just-concluded FIBA Esports Open 2020, where they scored a 5-0 win against Indonesia. Digital habits on the rise in Southeast Asia as the new normal approaches – Mastercard Study

COVID-19 has driven momentum towards the digital economy in Southeast Asia by necessitating rapid adoption of ecommerce, home deliveries, and digital and contactless payments, according to the latest Mastercard Impact Studies. Even as countries in the region start to ease restrictions and prepare for a “new normal”, the report indicates that some of these trends and habits formed in response to the pandemic are expected to remain for the long-term. Gathering input from consumers across 10 markets in the Asia Pacific region, the report examines the effects of extraordinary events on attitudes and behaviors among consumers and/or business professionals.
