UnionBank keeps promise not to leave anyone behind amid COVID-19
Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) is keeping its promise not to leave any of its employees behind especially at this most difficult time. In the pilot episode of the bank’s e-TalkTales – a digital replacement of its get-togethers with media - chief human resource officer Michelle Rubio said the constant retooling and upskilling of its manpower even prior to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak has been a major factor in maintaining its workforce. “Even prior to the lockdown, we have been retooling our people. There has been redeployment yes because jobs are changing, but that does not mean we cannot teach people new skills in order for them to adapt to evolving times,” Rubio said.
