Citi, Grab co-branded credit card launches in PH

Hot on the heels of its 7th anniversary celebration in the Philippines, Grab marks another milestone in the country as it partners with Citi to launch its first and exclusive co-branded credit card in Southeast Asia. The Citi Grab co-branded credit card is rolling out first in the Philippines on June 18, 2019. After the Philippines, the card will be launched in Thailand to be followed by Grab's other significant markets in the region. Grab and Citi's Consumer Banking business has been collaborating since 2016, starting off with the latter's participation in Grab's financing round through Citi Ventures, the bank's venture capitalist arm. 7-Eleven officially marked its seventh year of promoting health among its consumers through a fun-filled sports and wellness activity, the 7-Eleven Run. 7-Eleven Run 2019 brought together professional and recreational runners from different parts of the country into a nationwide gathering, where they showcased their love for the sport while spending time with friends and family. Nissan posts 40% growth amid challenges in 2018

After a strong 2018, Nissan celebrated the start of the new year by reaffirming the brand’s position as one of the leaders in the automotive industry. The Japanese automaker grew 40% from last year after selling 34,952 units in 2018, giving the company an 8.7% market share. It was herewith the only brand to post double-digit growth after higher excise taxes, rising inflation, and increasing fuel prices affected the Philippine economy last year. The sales performance of Nissan’s core products were key to the company’s record year. The Nissan Navara was the main driver for the company’s growth, as the popular pickup truck contributed 46.2% of the sales in the Philippines. The new Nissan Terra also drove sales for the company, as the much-awaited M-SUV already contributed 11.9% of sales locally after its launch last May.
